Need to Know for Buyers
The Scottish Government have announced, as part of the budget, that they are increasing the Additional Dwelling Supplement (ADS) rate on property purchases in Scotland from 6% to 8% applicable from the 5th December 2024. Meaning that any agreed contracts on or after the 5th December 2024 will be subject to the revised rate. Any contracts agreed on or before the 4th December 2024 will be subject to the 6% rate.
