Due to the recent government announcement confirming tighter restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic, we feel it important to update our clients and customers to advise on our response to this.

 

Firstly we have taken the decision to close our offices. This is in keeping with the government guidance and for the safety of our staff. Once we receive confirmation of when it is safe to re-open the offices, we shall do so.

 

Business however, will continue. Our staff have had their remote stations set up since the initial stages of this pandemic and are more than comfortable working from their home office to deliver the same high standards of service.

 

As per the government guidance, it is still possible to travel "for activities in connection with moving home (including viewing a property), or for activities in connection with the maintenance, purchase, sale, letting, or rental of residential property that the person owns or is otherwise responsible for.”


Please note though that “Travelling for the purposes of undertaking essential work on a property other than your main residence should not be used as a pretext for a holiday. You should not stay longer than for the length of time required to undertake the necessary work.”

 

As per our previous updates and as has been the case since early 2020, we strongly advise that viewers should utilise the virtual options available via our website or by request if the virtual link isn’t available for a specific property. Ballantynes will make virtual options available for all of our properties wherever possible.

 

Phone lines, although diverted, will still be open and it will still be possible to contact Ballantynes whether by call or by email. Please note that we do anticipate a high volume of calls and with the remote set up, lines may be busy but rest assured that all voicemails will be picked up and we will respond as soon as possible.

 

The sale and/or management of our clients property is our priority. This will not change and we aim to transition to the remote set up as seamlessly as possible and this will not impact our sales or rental services.
