To Our Valued Clients,
As we approach the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, we wanted to take a few moments to review the year we have come through. A very challenging time for the most part, not just in property of course and we very much acknowledge that wider sectors that suffered much more severely due to the pandemic. What started as an extremely positive year took a drastic turn and thankfully, Ballantynes continued to operate and our team were able to function albeit on a slightly different working pattern to make sure that we adhere to social distancing and the guidelines of both the government and NHS Scotland. It was thanks to this that Ballantynes will end the year on positive footing in the face of these challenges and we would like to thank our clients for their understanding throughout the year.
Moving forward into 2021, we are very optimistic. There is the potential vaccine which may mean an end to pandemic but also, because Ballantynes offer a fully managed service and given the current situation we believe that this service is needed more than ever before.
It is with this service that both our sales and rental departments will end the year positively as we have been able to adapt quicker to the restrictions without any risk to clients, buyers or tenants. We have safety processes and virtual options available (much of which was implemented pre-2020) and throughout the lockdown and the restrictions, we have had many successful transactions due to our ability to continue providing our services and we bring this forward into 2021. We will continue to review newer options coming to the market to implement additions to our service and continue to offer what we believe to be the best estate agency & letting service available in Scotland.
We are also delighted to announce that from the 1st January 2021, our Head of Estate Agency - Scott Webster, will be joining the board as a director for the Ballantynes Property Group after a very successful year for residential sales. Scott joined us on the 23rd December 2019 and has been working tirelessly to increase our market share but also to refine the sales offering as whole across Scotland. Again, this won’t stop and Scott will continue to review options available and with the aim to keep growing the market share based on both listings and sales.
Client engagement is a huge part of our service and that will not change. At times this year, we understand that it was difficult to see past what was happening right at that moment but we hope that Ballantynes lightened the load for our clients when it came to property/assets. As the age old saying goes; Communication is Key and we look forward to communicating with our clients both new and existing throughout 2021.
