FORMER SAVILLS HEAD OF RESIDENTIAL SALES IN EDINBURGH APPOINTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BALLANTYNES, THE EDINBURGH AND PERTH BASED SURVEYORS AND ESTATE AGENTS.

Gordon McKenzie has been appointed to the board of directors of Ballantynes, the surveyors and estate agents with offices in Perth and Edinburgh, 15 months after joining the company from Savills. Gordon has also taken a shareholding in the company. As Director of New Homes at Ballantynes, he is involved with promoting new build developments, gaining new build instructions, providing valuable client advice, market research and pricing throughout Scotland. In his previous role at Savills he was Director of Residential Development Sales Edinburgh.

Ballantynes was established in 1995 by chartered surveyor Ben Ballantyne who was joined by his son, Rory, in 2010. They are respectively heads of the Perth and Edinburgh offices.

Rory Ballantyne says, "It was quite a coup for us to have Gordon join our company originally 15 months ago. In that time he has proved himself an invaluable member of our team; his experience and insight has helped our business grow. We envisage 2017 being a busy year, especially in the new build sector where we have grown to become one of Scotland’s leading independent selling agents.
